We’ll walk through everything together at a comfortable pace so you can jump right in with confidence. \nWhat We’ll Cover Together:\n\nGetting familiar with the colorful tiles and what each symbol means\nHow to read the annual card and choose a winning hand pattern\nSetting up the table and trading tiles to start your game\nThe basic rhythm of turns\, passing\, and calling out tiles\n\nSkill Level: Absolute Beginners & Rusty Returning Players\nOfficial Card Required: Every player needs an official National Mah Jongg League card to play. You can order yours online in advance or purchase one directly at the studio when you arrive for class! All other game tiles and learning materials are provided.

Co-hosted by Hangout for Art and the JCC of the Lehigh Valley\, this event offers open table time in our cozy studio\, plus an optional pre-class art session to kick off the night. \nEvent Schedule & Highlights:\n\n5:30 PM – Optional Harvest Art Project ($30 Add-on): Arrive early to create a festive\, hands-on harvest art project to take home before game play begins.\n6:30 PM – Open Social Play: Enjoy open table gameplay with fellow casual and experienced players in a relaxed studio setting with light refreshments.\n\nSkill Level: Comfortable Casual & Experienced Players\nOfficial Card Required: Please bring your official card to play. Extra cards will be available for purchase at the studio if you don’t have one yet. Come solo to join an open table or bring a full group of friends! Studio tile sets are available\, but feel free to bring your favorite set if you’d like.
