Host Your Celebration Here
Celebrations That Connect
Birthday parties, corporate team building, networking events, and private gatherings. We handle the setup, instruction, materials, and cleanup. You handle the guest list.
Every session is guided. No one gets left behind, and everyone leaves with something they made. We’ve hosted three-year-olds and 80-year-olds in the same room. It works because the focus is on creating together, not perfection.
All ages welcome. Groups of 6 to 30. BYOB for adult events. Sessions run 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on your project.
No spam, ever. Unsubscribe anytime. We just want to keep you in the creative loop.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before booking your fluid art, resin, or creative experience at Hangout for Art in Allentown, PA.
Getting Started
Do I need any artistic experience?
Not even a little. Most of our guests have never done anything like this before, and that's exactly who we built the studio for. Every experience is guided step by step, and there's no wrong way to do it. Mistakes usually turn into the best part of the piece.
Can I walk in, or do I need to book ahead?
Walk-ins are welcome during open studio hours, and we love when people just drop by. Booking ahead guarantees your spot, which matters on weekends and evenings. A few experiences — pottery, soap making, and candle making — are scheduled sessions only, because materials are prepped per seat.
How long does a session take?
Most experiences run 60 minutes to 2 hours depending on the project. Fluid art and resin tumblers are on the shorter end; pottery and larger resin scenes take longer. Nobody rushes you out the door.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little paint, resin, or clay on. We provide aprons, but art happens. Closed-toe shoes are a good idea for studio safety.
Is there parking?
Yes — free parking right at the studio. We're on Hamilton Blvd. in Allentown, just down the road from Dorney Park, and easy to reach from anywhere in the Lehigh Valley.
The Experience
Does everyone in my group have to do the same project?
Not at all! One person can do resin art, another can try fluid art, and someone else can head to the Bead Bar. Everyone in your group picks exactly the experience they want. The one exception is structured workshops — pottery, soap making, and candle making — where everyone in that session follows the same activity, because the materials are prepped in advance.
What if I book one project but change my mind at the studio?
We want you to love what you make. Unless you're registered for a workshop that needs advance material prep (pottery, soap, candles), you're free to switch once you see our samples in person. No stress — that's what our Decide in Studio option is for.
What's the difference between resin art and fluid art?
Resin art uses epoxy resin to create glossy, durable pieces — tumblers, wine glasses, beach scenes, and jewelry. Fluid art uses acrylic paint poured and tilted to create one-of-a-kind canvases, wood cutouts, and decor. Both are beginner-friendly, and we walk you through every step.
When do I take my art home?
Your masterpiece needs time to cure, so most pieces stay with us and you pick them up later. Resin tumblers are usually ready in about 48 hours, fluid art in a few days, and pottery takes 6 to 8 weeks because of the drying and two kiln firings. We'll text or email you the moment yours is ready.
Take home the same day: Bead Bar jewelry, patch party pieces, and candles.
Can I schedule a specific pickup time?
Yes — just call or text and we'll confirm a time during open hours. Your piece will be ready and waiting.
How do I care for my finished resin piece?
Resin pieces are food-safe once fully cured and can be gently hand-washed. Avoid long stretches in direct sunlight, which can cause yellowing over time. We'll send you home with care instructions at pickup.
Can I bring food or drinks? Is it BYOB?
Yes to both. Bring snacks, a cake, coffee, or a bottle of wine — BYOB is welcome for guests 21 and over. It's part of what makes an evening here feel like a night out rather than a class.
Are kids welcome? What ages?
Absolutely. Fluid art works for ages 3 and up, and we've had three-year-olds and eighty-year-olds creating in the same room. Some experiences have higher age minimums — pottery is ages 12 and up, or younger with a participating adult. Age guidance is listed on each experience page.
Groups & Events
How many people can you accommodate?
Groups from 6 to 30, depending on the experience. Sessions run 90 minutes to 2 hours. We handle setup, instruction, materials, and cleanup — you handle the guest list.
Can I book a bachelorette party here?
Bachelorette parties are one of our favorites! BYOB is welcome, so bring the bubbly. We'll set your group up with space and personalized experiences — and everyone can pick their own project. Call or text to start planning.
How far in advance should I book a party?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for most parties; weekends and holiday season fill up faster, so earlier is better. If your date is soon, call or text — we'll tell you honestly what's still open.
Do you do corporate events on weekdays?
Yes, and weekdays are our most flexible time for corporate groups. Team building here works because the focus is on creating together, not on being good at art. Reach out and we'll put together a quote for your group size and budget.
Do you offer fundraising events for nonprofits or community groups?
We love supporting our community. Partner organizations earn 20–30% of event proceeds back — a meaningful way to raise money while giving your members a genuinely fun experience. Contact us to get started.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes! Gift cards are available online and in the studio in any amount. They're a perfect gift for birthdays, holidays, bridal showers, or anyone who could use a little more joy and creativity in their life.
